Hello!!!!!!!! or in my new native language Hola!
I hope all is well with you guys! I really love reading your emails. Like really. This week was way good. We had interviews with the mission president on Wednesday. I really love him a lot. Also, our investigator Juan got baptized!!! The day of his baptism he had a lot of finals, so we couldn`t call him to make sure everything was still on until an hour before his baptism. It turns out that his mom was in the hospital again and we weren`t sure if he was going to be able to make it, but we had faith! I know that Heavenly Father is more powerful than Satan anyday. Everything ended up working out. It was so happy!
I`m starting to understand everyone a little bit better. It`s still not 100%, but more than last week! My district leader has a saying that is more or less "today better than yesterday and tomorrow better than today." I really love that quote a lot. I know that we need to focus on the good that we do and keep our expectations high! I am learning so much everyday. We have some really great investigators that we are teaching. It is amazing how we were guided to find some of them. For instance, there is this couple that we are teaching that we found because we contacted this women on the street, made an appointment to teach her, when we went to teach her we saw her sister (or cousin.. I`m still not really sure) but she didn`t want to listen. The original girl wasn`t very interested, but we saw the second girl with her family one night when we were walking and talked to them and this time they were really positive. We went to their house to teach them and found their brother and his wife. The brother and his wife are the most positive out of them all and really have been prepared. Crazy right? I don`t even know if you could follow that whole process that I just said, but what you should get out of it is that the Lord guides our steps!
We had a water fight with our district today which was way fun. I love my district and zone so much. They really are the greatest.
There are some of the cutest kids that I have ever met here in Nicaragua. Also, have I mentioned that there are kittens and puppies everywhere? They are really adorable, but I shouldn`t pet them which is sad. Oh well, lesson in self discipline I guess haha. I attached some classy photos of us and Juan before his baptism, Hermana Corzantes y yo on the street outside our apartment and me pointing at our house. Sister missionary status.
I love you all!!! I hope you guys have an amazing week!
Con amor,
Hermana Lee
