(2-16-15)

Hi everyone!

So on Saturday I passed the one month mark of my mission. Say what?!? It is just so weird to think about that. Time goes by so fast it is unreal. For example this change is almost over. Craziness. In the mission I´ve felt a kind of happiness and a kind of sadness that I never really felt before the mission. It´s the kind of feeling that comes experiencing and seeing people accept and reject what you know with all your heart will bring them eternal happiness with their families and with God.

My birthday was way great. I attatched some fun pics. Basically everyone wished me happy birthday and at night Hna Mendez y Hermana Hada blindfolded me and supised me with a birthday dinner (enchildadas) and tres leche! It was so happy. Also Hermana Hada put half of the icing on my face and so then I returned the favor haha.

On Sunday, I gave a talk about the love of Jesus Christ. The thing was that I was super sick with a cold so that made it a bit more interesting. People said they understood me though, so that is a breakthrough in my Spanish.

I also attatched a picture of Norbin and his family

We had a really cool meeting yesterday with all of the ward councils from the Stake, the missionaries, President and Hermana Collado, and Elder Maravilla. Basically they talked to us about missionary work and how the Lord is accelerating his obra. There was a cool example how Bald Eagles have to go through a renovation if they want to live their whole 70 years. They related it to us and how we have to leave a lot of old traditions behind. The Area Presidency presented a plan where we are going to have all the members write a list of 10 names of family, friends, neighbors, etc and then pray to know how to share the gospel with them (invite them to church, invite them to a family home evening, introduce them to us, etc). I can already see how powerful and inspired this is. I don´t know why we weren´t doing it before. The promise is that from every list of 10 names, at least one of them will be baptized.

I really love this work and I am so glad that the Lord is letting me be a part of it at this time. I know that Christ lives and loves us. I know that when we are having a hard time we can pray and God will calm us down and give us the answers in the way that we need. I love you all so much. Have a fantastic week!

Hermana Lee
