Time is definitely speeding up. No joke. It definitely helps that our "weekend" is split into Sunday and Tuesday.
We got a new teacher for the afternoons and guess who it is?? Our old investigator from the week before! His name is Hermano Montes and he is the greatest. I get new insights everytime he speaks. We´ve started teaching twice a day so that is pretty exciting. Our new investigators are both named Daniel. Luckily one of them lets us call him Dany so we can keep them straight. Hermana Olsen and I are trying to do our best to teach by the spirit and focus on the investigator. We basically pray all the time. I love it. I forgot to wear my name tag to gym today and it felt so weird to not have it on. I love mine so much!
I am learning so much all the time. I´m so tired by the end of the day. I love that you can find answers to your questions in any chapter of the sciptures. It is also cool to be studying for the needs of a specific investigator and find the perfect scriptures for them. All you have to do is start with a prayer!
We have gym every morning and lets just say I´m slightly improving in my volleyball and basketball skills. My goal is to be a pro by the end of these six weeks... haha we´ll see how that works out. Next P day we´re going to try and play tennis. I´m way excited.
Guess what happened last night?? THERE WAS A MOUSE IN OUR ROOM. It ran out of our room to somewhere else in the casa. So we just keep our doors closed now. Let´s just say with 4 girls in our room, there was a lot of screaming. I guess I´m just getting prepped for Nicaragua! I told the people who came to wash the sheets of the Hermanas´ beds who left this week (in Spanish! I was pretty proud) I´m not exactly sure what they did about it, but hopefully it worked.
Sundays are the greatest at the CCM. They´re great everywhere but here we have sacrament meeting with our zone, which is a grand total of about 15 people. We all have to write talks and then about 6 of us get called on every week to give talks. Of course the talks are in Spanish. Then a member of our branch presidency speaks. They are men call of God let me tell you. They are all from Mexico City and I love them all so much. They give their talks in Spanglish and the spirit is so strong when they speak. Also on Sundays, we get to watch an old MTC devotional in English and after dinner we all watch a church movie. This past Sunday was "Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration." SO GOOD.
Oh! Also, there are these big green circles everywhere at the CCM and apparently if the earthquake alarms go off we are supposed to run to them. Supposedly the alarm went of at 3:30 am this past week. I say supposedly because none of us woke up. I guess it was a good thing it was just a baby earthquake. Lastly, The rainy season officially started this week. It will downpour for a couple hours in the evening. I´m putting that rain jacket and umbrella to good use. Breaking them in!
I love you and am excited to hear about your weeks! Come what may and love it!
Hermana Lee
